China-Singapore Maylook (Chongqing) Eye Hospital signed a cooperation project agreement with Singapore Occutrack Company.

On June 25, the ninth meeting of the Joint Implementation Committee for the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Strategic Interconnectivity Demonstration Project was held in Chongqing, where 16 cooperation projects were signed on site. Among them, in the medical field, China-Singapore Maylook (Chongqing) Eye Hospital signed a cooperation agreement with Singapore Occutrack company on the development and application of an intelligent monitoring system for age-related macular degeneration (AMD).

Mrs.Josephine Teo, Minister for Communications and Information and the Second Minister of Home Affairs and Mayor Hu Henghua, Vice Secretary of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee co-chaired the meeting.

Senior Minister of State for National Development and Communications and Information, Mr. Tan Kiat How, Mayor Chen Xinwu, Deputy Mayor Zhang Guozhi, Deputy Director-General of the Asian Department at the Ministry of Commerce, Mr. Li An, and Counselor of the Asian Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Chen Wei, among others, attended the on-site meeting.

Chairman Fu Guanjun of China-Singapore Maylook (Chongqing) Eye Hospital attended the conference as a guest of the signing project of our hospital.

 

 

 In November 2015, the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Strategic Interconnectivity Demonstration Project was officially settled in Chongqing. On October 12, 2021, during the Singapore renowned Enterprises in Chongqing event, a signing ceremony for the China-Singapore Interconnectivity Project was held in Chongqing, where Singapore Company officially signed a contract with Maylook Group, therefor China-Singapore Maylook (Chongqing) Eye Hospital was listed as one of the China-Singapore Interconnectivity Projects.

Mrs.Josephine Teo thanked Chongqing for its unremitting efforts in building the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative for Interconnectedivity and Prosperity. She said that since the initiative was launched, with the high-level attention and support of leaders from both China and Singapore, Singapore and Chongqing have continued to enhance communication and cooperation, deepening their collaboration in four key areas of financial services, aviation industry, transportation and logistics, and information and communication technology. The construction of the initiative has achieved new progress and new achievements, and Singapore has become Chongqing's largest source of foreign investment. Next year will mark the 10th anniversary of the initiative's implementation, and a new chapter in its construction will be opened. We are full of confidence in further deepening and expanding Chongqing-Singapore cooperation and will stick to the direction of high starting point, high level, and innovation, continuously promoting cooperation in the four key areas, actively expanding new areas of cooperation, and creating more influential landmark projects.

Hu Henghua, on behalf of the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee and the Chongqing Municipal Government, expressed gratitude to Singapore for actively promoting the China-Singapore interconnectedivity project. Over the past year, Chongqing and Singapore have worked closely together to jointly push forward the construction of the China-Singapore interconnected project and achieve new progress.

The conference held a project signing ceremony, with a total of 16 projects signed on the spot, covering a range of fields including industrial design, new energy vehicles, artificial intelligence, and science and technology education.

At the signing ceremony, China-Singapore Maylook (Chongqing) Eye Hospital and Singapore Occutrack Company signed a cooperation agreement on the development and application of an AMD (Age-Related Macular Degeneration) intelligent monitoring system.

 

 

It is known that the automated monitoring device can automatically visually assess and detect vision impairment through gaze analysis. Patients with macular degeneration can monitor their eye movements and fixation functions at home to know the progress of their condition.

Next, the AMD system will be used for clinical data research at our hospital to verify its feasibility and accuracy in clinical practice; the AMD system will also connect doctors online for online consultations, allowing patients to receive eye health treatments without leaving their homes. This will improve the timeliness and effectiveness of disease treatment while reducing medical expenses for patients.

 

 

Chairman Fu Guanjun of China-Singapore Maylook (Chongqing) Eye Hospital stated that by cooperating with Singapore, they aim to bring in better technology and concepts from Singapore to serve the people of Chongqing, while also promoting exchanges in technology, culture, and medical services to better serve patients.

Under the guidance of the policy of connectivity between China and Singapore, China-Singapore Maylook (Chongqing) Eye Hospital will fully promote and implement this project, making it solid and detailed, and deeply exploring new modes of cooperation with Singaporean medical enterprises. It will also focus on achieving breakthroughs and innovations in academic research and promote the transformation and application of medical science and technology. It will continuously catalyze the improvement of medical technology levels and service quality, and promote the sustainable and high-quality development of the medical cause as a whole, thus empowering the China-Singapore medical project.
